Affordable Beachfront Retreats: Seven Venues and Per-Person Math

A retreat venue on a quiet beach

A retreat is affordable when the full trip fits the group’s budget at the expected headcount. For a flat-rate property, divide the published nightly total by the number of paying guests to see the lodging share per person per night. This is a model, not an individual quote.

Seven venues: public price basis and what it buys

These examples use different products—whole-property rentals, per-person retreat packages, and dated seasonal rates. The arithmetic below puts the published base on a per-person/night footing where capacity and duration are stated; it is a comparison aid, not a ranking or a final quote. Source pages were checked October 26, 2026.

Venue Public rate evidence Rate basis / modeled per-person-night Items still to price or confirm
Las Canas Beach Retreat Starting at $3,000/night depending on the season for the main retreat; $5,000 on holiday dates; 3-night minimum. Optional meals: $65/person/day. Flat whole-property nightly charge. See the occupancy math below for 40, 48, and 60 family guests using bunk beds. Exact date quote, meal participation, transfers, and any taxes or fees not stated on the rate page.
Cabarete Boutique Kite Hotel Its group page lists $85 per person/night for retreat pricing and whole-property access, up to 25 guests. Published per-person/night starting basis; ask whether the date and room mix retain that rate. The page lists optional services such as airport transfers, private chef, and yoga instructors without pricing them in that base.
Casa Rosabaya at Playa Cosón Rental listing says up to 27 guests; weekly rate $22,000, weekend $8,335, extra night $3,125; its price section says nightly rates start at $2,995. The published week divided by 7 nights and 27 guests is about $116.40/person/night. Its starting nightly figure divided by 27 is about $110.93. These are full-capacity models. Published rate details differ by stay length. Confirm exact dates, electricity, cleaning, service, meals, and sleeping arrangement in a written quote.
Amansala Tulum The host page lists retreat rates from $230/person/night for triple occupancy and $295 for a private “Simple and Small” room; rates depend on room category. Per-person, per-night retreat rate; page includes meals and specified activities/space in listed retreat rates. Listed rates are subject to 16% tax and a $30/person/day gratuity. Check seasonal availability, room category, and inclusions for the selected dates.
Cabarete Eco Lodge Beach Its special-events brochure says “from $120/pax/night.” Public per-person/night starting figure for events. The brochure does not detail event size, meal inclusion, fees, or the conditions behind “from”; obtain a dated itemized quote.
Vibez Cabarete Retreat Nov. 17–22, 2026 retreat prices include accommodation and retreat experience; quad occupancy is $1,650/person, double $1,850, private $2,150–$2,400. For the five-night dated event, the quad tier models to $330/person/night ($1,650 ÷ 5); this is an inclusive retreat package, not lodging-only. Dates and remaining rooms are event-specific. Confirm current availability, room assignment, and what travel or extras are excluded.
The White House at Sea Horse Ranch Rate page updated October 2026 lists $900/night for Jan. 6–Mar. 22, 2027, for up to 8 guests, plus $60/person/night above 8, up to 13. Model: $112.50/person/night at 8; at 13, $1,200 total ÷ 13 = about $92.31/person/night. Villa rental is near Cabarete/Sosúa, not an advertised beachfront property. Meals and any additional services are separate; confirm exact date rate and occupancy.

Las Canas: lodging share per guest per night

The venue’s current rate page lists a flat nightly rate starting at $3,000/night depending on the season for the main retreat. The following lodging-only shares use the $3,000 starting rate:

Paying guests sharing the starting nightly rate At $3,000/night Formula
40 $75 per guest/night $3,000 ÷ 40
48 $62.50 per guest/night $3,000 ÷ 48
60 family guests using bunk beds $50 per guest/night $3,000 ÷ 60

These figures divide the $3,000 starting rate by headcount and do not imply a particular bedroom assignment. Standard capacity is up to 48 guests in beds across 18 suites (24 bedrooms); up to 60 guests is available exclusively for family groups using bunk beds.

Meals are separate: the venue lists an optional meal plan at $65 per person per day ($10 breakfast, $25 lunch, $30 dinner). For a guest taking all three meals for one day, add $65 to that day’s lodging share. It is not included in the per-guest/night table.

The venue also lists a three-night minimum and higher holiday pricing; check the exact dates and written quote. The examples exclude airfare, ground transfers, activities, tips, facilitator subsidy, payment fees, taxes or service charges not specified in the cited rate page, and the optional adjacent villa.

Worked example: seven nights at 30 paying guests

For seven nights and 30 paying guests, using the $3,000 starting rate produces this model:

Model line At the $3,000 starting rate Calculation
Property per person $700 7 nights × $3,000 ÷ 30
Meals per person for 7 days $455 7 days × $65
Model subtotal per person $1,155 Property share + meal plan

This arithmetic assumes 30 people share the property equally and all purchase the meal plan for seven days. It excludes airfare, airport transfer, gratuities, facilitator subsidy, activities, card fees, taxes/service charges not specified by the cited page, and any villa add-on. Obtain a dated quote for your group.

The marginal guest calculation

For a fixed property price, one more paying guest can reduce the lodging share only if the venue’s rate does not rise and the extra guest fits an available bed. At the $3,000 starting rate for seven nights, lodging starts at $21,000: 25 guests share $840 each; 30 share $700; 35 share $600. These are scenario calculations, not dated quotes.

For a per-person package, adding a guest usually adds that package’s per-person amount rather than spreading a fixed property cost. Ask the venue which costs are fixed, which are per guest, and whether a facilitator place is complimentary or included in the headcount.

Build a total before advertising a ticket price

Use the same worksheet for every venue:

  • lodging or exclusive-use stay total for the exact dates;
  • meals per person × meal days, with dietary supplements identified;
  • airport transfer quote divided by passengers and vehicles;
  • taxes, service charges, cleaning, and payment fees, each confirmed by the venue;
  • facilitator, assistant, and scholarship places;
  • activities and contingency reserve.

Do not apply one venue’s tax assumption to another. The linked sources describe different products and rate units, so they do not support a single cheapest-to-most-expensive ranking. A written quote with a fixed expiration date is the usable comparison.

Common questions

Is the Las Canas per-person figure a quote?
  • No. It is a simple model: seven nights times the $3,000/night starting rate divided by 30 paying guests. It excludes meals and all unconfirmed costs.
Can I compare a bungalow rate with an all-inclusive retreat package?
  • Not directly. Normalize the dates, room occupancy, meals, transport, taxes, and included services first.
What is the cheapest venue here?
  • The verified public sources do not expose comparable all-in totals for all seven venues, so this article does not rank them by cheapest.
