A destination wedding usually means renting a venue for one evening and scattering your guests across hotels. At Las Canas the venue and the guest rooms are the same place: you book the whole retreat, and for the length of your stay the beach, the deck, the pools and every suite belong to your wedding.
The venue price
| Stay | Whole retreat, from | Per guest with 48 guests |
|---|---|---|
| 3 nights (minimum) | $9,750 | $203.13 |
| 4 nights | $13,000 | $270.83 |
| 7 nights | $22,750 | $473.96 |
The table uses the starting rate of $3,250 a night; the rate is $3,250 to $3,750 a night depending on your dates. The villa adds $600 a night. Over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year it is $5,000 a night with a 7 night minimum. Your written quote confirms the price for your dates.
Because the price is for the whole property, you decide how to share it: some couples cover the rooms as a gift to their guests, others ask each guest to pay their share.
What the venue price includes
- Rooms for 48 to 60 guests. 18 suites, so the wedding party, both families and close friends sleep a few steps from the ceremony.
- The ceremony spot. Most couples marry on the ocean deck, with the Atlantic behind them. The tables and chairs from our oceanfront dining room can be set out for the ceremony.
- The bridal house, if you add it. The villa next door has its own pool and a glass walled king bedroom over the ocean, an easy place to get ready. It adds $600 a night.
- The grounds for the whole weekend. Welcome drinks by the pool, the rehearsal dinner under the palms, a bonfire after the reception and a slow brunch the next morning.
- Our team. Hosts, housekeeping, maintenance and 24 hour security, plus Starlink Wi-Fi.
What to budget on top
- Food and drink. Our chef cooks for your group on an optional meal plan, and we quote the wedding dinner and any open bar with your stay. See the menu.
- Your planner and vendors. Flowers, decor, music, photography and the officiant come through the planner you choose. We introduce you to local planners we work with.
- Transfers. Puerto Plata airport (POP) is about 55 minutes away. We arrange shuttles for every arrival, or one group bus when guests land together, and quote them with your stay.
A weekend that works
- Day 1. Guests arrive through the afternoon. Welcome drinks on the deck, dinner together.
- Day 2. A free day on the beach and the surfboards, the rehearsal dinner at night.
- Day 3. The ceremony on the deck at golden hour, dinner and dancing, the bonfire.
- Day 4. Brunch, goodbyes, transfers to the airport.
That is the 3 night minimum. Adding a night or two gives guests who fly a long way a real holiday.
Is the North Coast right for your wedding?
Choose Las Canas if you want a small, private wedding where every guest stays together on the beach, with no other hotel guests in your photos. If you need a ballroom, hundreds of guests or a resort with nightly entertainment, a large resort will suit you better.

Questions guests ask
How many guests can attend?
48 adults can stay overnight in beds in the 18 suites, up to 60 with sofa beds and bunk beds, and the villa adds four more bedrooms. Tell us if you expect day guests too, and we will plan the setup with you.
Do you provide a wedding planner?
We work with local wedding planners and introduce you to them. They handle flowers, music, photography and the ceremony; our team sets up, cooks and clears on the property.
Can we have a legal ceremony here?
Requirements depend on your nationality. Your planner, a Dominican attorney or the civil registry (Oficialía del Estado Civil) can tell you which documents you need. Some couples marry legally at home and hold the celebration here.
What happens if it rains?
The oceanfront dining room and the palapa are covered, so dinner and dancing can move under a roof.
How do we hold a date?
Send your dates and guest count on WhatsApp or by email. We reply within 24 hours and can hold the dates for 72 hours at no cost.
