Most retreat leaders price a week by working backward from the venue. At Las Canas that part is simple: one price for the whole property, so the venue cost per participant depends only on how many people you bring.

The table uses the starting rate of $3,250 a night. The rate is $3,250 to $3,750 a night depending on your dates, or $5,000 over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, with a 3 night minimum (7 over the holidays). Count yourself and your assistants in the head count, since everyone sleeps on site.
Building your retreat price
Add these to the venue cost per participant:
- Meals. Our chef cooks three meals a day on an optional plan, built around your program. Ask us for the per person rate for your dates.
- Airport transfers. Puerto Plata airport (POP) is about 55 minutes away. Individual shuttles or one group bus, quoted with your stay.
- Excursions. A waterfall hike, horseback riding or a boat trip on the Gri Gri lagoon make a good free afternoon. See the area guide.
- Your teaching fee and margin. What you need to earn for leading the week.
Then decide on rooms. Suites have one or two bedrooms, each bedroom with its own bathroom, so you can sell private rooms at a higher price and shared rooms at a lower one.

- Two places to practice. The ocean deck for sunrise classes, the covered palapa for workshops and rainy days.

- Afternoons take care of themselves. The beach, two pools, a jacuzzi, free surfboards and paddleboards.
